A print sensibility on a web page.
LacqueredMag is an editorial beauty magazine that argues back.
We publish essays on gloss, skin, fragrance, hair, and the lacquered life — long-form pieces in the tradition of Into the Gloss, the rigour of independent print magazines, and the typographic discipline of a wordmark you can read at arm's length.
We are not a product list. We are not a search-engine answer. We publish by issue, not by day; we run features and interviews alongside dispatches and visual archives; we believe the work of writing well about beauty is the same work as writing well about anything else.
Each issue carries a single editor's-eye view. We hope you'll read it that way.
Editorial policy
We commission, we edit, and we run a two-pass review on every piece. Product mentions are context — never the spine. Where we have a financial relationship with a brand, we name it in line. Our reviews are independent; our critics are unpaid by the brands they write about.
Submissions
We read pitches on a rolling basis. Send a 150-word outline, three clips, and the working title to editors@lacqueredmag.com.
